Class A CDL Driver
Job Description
Great Lakes Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver with the ability to operate different types of trucks, specifically dump trucks, in the Akron, OH area! Responsibilities:- Safely operate trucks to transport materials and equipment.- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment when needed, such as excavation equipment- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and inspection reports on a daily basis Qualifications:- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record- Ability to operate various types of trucks, including flatbed, dump truck, and water truck- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions- Ability to load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members Give us a call at (216) 377-0600!
