Great Lakes Skilled Trades is a Local Trade Contractor that services commercial, industrial, and residential industries. We work with local contractors on projects from multi-family housing to restaurant chains, medical facilities, factories, office buildings, distribution centers, and more. GLST is a growing company, and we are looking to expand our workforce with quality driven craftsmen looking for steady work and career growth!
We offer:
- Starting Wage of $19 - $30/hr (Depending on Experience)
- Steady work
- Health, Dental, and Vision insurance options
- PTO Program and Sportsmen’s Day
- Workboot and Tool Programs
- 8 hour shifts
This position consists of:
- Construction cabinetry according to blueprint
- Understand and interpret blueprints
- Working alone or with others
- Moving or stacking materials around the shop
- Keeping a clean and safe work area
- Cutting, Shaping and Assembly of Cabinetry and Millwork Items.
Ability to stain, paint, and finishing experience could be utilized.
- This is skilled work in the assembly of cabinetry and millwork.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience
- Reliable transportation and VALID drivers license
- Basic hand tools
- Self-Starter – Able to work with and without supervision
- Able to take direction
- Possess a Safety-First Mindset
- Knowledge of tools and equipment
- Flexible in learning new ways of building
- Learn and read drawings
- Ability to lift and carry heavy awkward sized items
- knowledge of the practices, materials, and tools of the Cabinet Making and Finishing trades.
