Certified Welding Inspector
Job Description
Great Lakes Skilled Trades is a fast-growing skilled labor contractor in the Midwest, connecting top talent with great job opportunities. We have immediate openings and are looking for quality craftsmen who want steady work and career growth.
This is a second shift position (3 pm-1 am, M-Th)
Pay Range: $30.00/h+
Job May Include:- MIG & TIG welding with carbon steel, HH and UHH materials- Leadership of welding department including training, quality control, reporting, etc.- Collaboration with engineering in documenting and identifying improvement activities- Assigning jobs to team members and demonstrating job duties- Address performance and policy violations- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience as a Certified Welding Inspector- Possess a CWI Certification- Possess AWS D1.1 Certification- Able to read and interpret blueprints/schematics- Possess basic hand tools/welding equipment- Proficient Computer Skills- Experience with payroll and attendance policies
