Tool and Die Maker - 2nd & 3rd Shift
Job Description
Great Lakes Skilled Trades is a fast-growing skilled labor contractor in the Midwest, connecting top talent with great job opportunities. We have immediate openings and are looking for quality craftsmen who want steady work and career growth.
We are currently seeking Tool and Die Makers for 2nd and 3rd shifts!
Starting pay: Up to $33.00/h + pay increase after 90 days
Job details: - Read and interpret blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted-Plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feeds and speeds- Weld repair and heat treatment of different materials including tool steels.- Determine specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during and after machining- Perform hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.- Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Sets up, runs off and tests dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting same- Tear down, repairs and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required
Qualifications:- 4+ years of experience in tool and die making- Possess a journeyman card- Driver’s license and reliable transportation- Must be reliable and able to take direction
